Egg pick-up day launches Trout in the Classroom
January 20th marked the day for the launching of another year of Trout in the Classroom.
We are now nearing 50 schools that are part of the program.

The redband trout is native to southwest Idaho and among the less understood species of trout. It is often in the mind of the angler lumped with rainbow trout. Historically redband were associated with cutthroat trout, one example is a 1945 Ted Trueblood article in Outdoor Life magazine titled “Cutthroats of the cattle country” describing a trip to the Owyhees.
