Boise River High Water and TU Projects

The Boise River is running at high water, near flood stage these days.  And what does that mean?  Simply put, it means the projects are under water.

Here are a couple of photos from Monday morning May 9th, the first shows the Heron Creek area and it’s standing water on the flats between Heron Lake and the Boise River.  You can see some of the TU-planted willow sticking up through the water surface.

The second photo shows the bank stabilization project at the Bown Crossing area.  Not much to see here as the banks are all under water.
